21st Birthday

It was my 21st Birthday on 31st December 2009, Thursday. I was not expecting and celebrations with my friends cause most of them will be busy preparing for test and assignments. But on Wednesday, I was told that my ex-classmate, Candy is coming to Setapak with a birthday cake that she made. So, 9 of us gather at Potato Cafe, Genting Klang for dinner and sang birthday song before cutting the lovely cake. The blackforest cake with toppings and chocolate flakes was the most beautiful birthday cake that I ever had in my entire life. Although we only spent 2 hours together, but it was a meaningful night to me, meeting Candy who purposely came from Cheras to Setapak. Thanks a lot girl. =)

On the next day, which was 31st December 2009, which is also the New Year Eve, me and my coursemates went to Pavilion, Bukit Bintang and KLCC. We wanted to have our dinner at the Apartment, KLCC at first but its only available for reservations. Then, we checked out Chili's and it's also fully booked. So, we walked to Pavilion and search for place to eat. Tony Romas was fully booked as well. And we decided to try TGI Friday's. Thank god...we got place there. To my surprise, they only got this New Year Eve menu and the price was slightly expensive than normal days. Anyway, we order our food and enjoyed. I was so full and expecting for my friends to ask for the bill, suddenly a guy wished me Happy Birthday from my back. I turned around and I was surprised to see the TGI Friday's waiter holding a cake and a balloon. I was like.. OH NOOO.... They make me stand on the chair, holding the balloon and treat the chili sauce bottle as a mic. They told me to say a short speech to my friends. HAHA! Then, made a wish and blow the candle from far. All my friends was laughing joyfully there. LOL! Then, they sang birthday song to me and we enjoyed the cake. It was my first surprise birthday cake!! I really appreciate the moment. My friend captured the video and it was funny like hell. Hahah!

After that, we went to Bukit Bintang area to join the countdown event. There are people spraying the snow spray here and there...We have to avoid ourselves from them so that we dun get dirty. But in the end, we decided to buy that spray and join the "Spraying Crowd". Hahah! It was so fun and it's actually my first time playing that. FYI, the spray is actually illegal. :P But, who cares...ahha!

We headed back to Wangsa Maju before 12am to avoid the jam and crowd in the LRT. We had a drink at mamak before everyone dismissed. I had to say that it was one of the happiest night I had with my friends!! Now, I'm officially 21 and gonna have a totally new life in few months time. It's great to have such crazy friends and I do hope we will still keep in touch after graduation. =) Here, I would like to wish you guys good luck and all the best in your future undertakings.

Few Words for Them

Time flies and all of us realize that. It's been nearly 4 years studying in TARC and finally it going to end soon in few months time. My life is happier ever since I have my classmates and even happier with the existence of those crazy guys from TARC's Penang branch. Since this is the last semester, I wish we can spend more time together and hang out. Unfortunately, the busy-ness in each and everyone of us make us don't have much time for each other. The only time we can actually hang out together is during the 2 hours break in between classes. Of course, better than nothing.

I was wondering whether after we left TARC, will we continue to chat in the Q2 group chat room in MSN? Will it be closed down? Will everyone still keep in touch? Some of you might go back to your hometown to work. Will we meet each other again? I'm sure some of you do think of these as well. I hope we still have the time to crap in the chat room. Life will not be the same again. Each and everyone of us will face the new community again after graduating from college. I'm sure some of you might meet greater people and friends but for me, you guys are the best!

I am a lil bit regret of not knowing some of my classmates and course mates well till recently where we got chance to hang out more often which I hope it is not too late. Christmas is around the corner. All of us are rushing for FYP that time. But, why not sacrifice just for one night and spend time together? Not necessarily be some high class place, just a cafe, a place to eat, drink and laugh will be sufficient like what we did for last year. Quite a number of us actually grouped together during Christmas Eve and have a drink after steamboat session. =)

I don't know what triggers me to write this. I think is because of a Korea song that I listened and sounds sad to me. In the mid of writing this, flashes of our memories, funny, sad, and happy all comes to my mind. Honestly, tears filled up my eyes, thinking how will I react on the last day of school and how much I am going to miss you guys. I seriously think I will cry when the day comes. T.T You guys better prepare tissue for me...

Last but not least, would like to apologize if I had hurt your feelings or did something wrong to my Q2 classmates without realizing it.

You guys are the BEST! Lurve...

Bubba Gump

It's been a while since I last update my blog due to my laziness, buziness and emptyness in me. And I almost forget that I actually got a blog. Well, to keep my blog alive, I decided to post up some pics that I took at Bubba Gump, The Curve. I went there last Sunday with my friend and I suggested to have lunch there since it looks nice and kinda unique. I was not surprised to see the price as I already expected that cause Bubba Gump serves western food and it's from US if I'm not mistaken. The main courses price is above RM18.00. They serve varieties of drinks which I believe most of them will be nice. I ordered a main course and a drink.

Main Course --> Grilled fish fillet and shrimps with mashed potatoes served with some sauce and tomatoes. It was super duper delicious especially the shrimp. (Rating: 7.5/10)
Drink -- > Blueberry Smoothie (Rating: 5/10)

My friend ordered a set meal which comes with 2 appetizers, 1 main course, 1 dessert, 1 free flow drink and a cup of coffee/tea. The set costs RM55. Expensive? Yea... a lil bit but worth it in such place. It's a nice place to celebrate birthday or chill out and have nice dinner with friends.

Stuffs of the Month

1. "Goyang-goyang" toy
Known as "goyang-goyang" toy for one of my friend in college. Coz its head will move with just a light touch on it and also when there's sun, the head moves. I bought 3 for myself and 6 for two friends in KL. I bought them back in Taiping, Pokok Assam's morning market where they sell 3 for RM10 which I think I can't get in KL with this price. I bought myself a pooh bear, spiderman and an alien. The alien was being adopted by my sis already. Lolx!

2. Mini Blue Dolphin
I got this from Genting Highland. I went for a day trip to Genting Highland with my coursemates few weeks back. I gambled on toys...Remember in the fun fare, got this game where there are many yellow color rubber ducks floating on the water go round and round and round? Then we need to hook up one of the ducky and see what's the prize written below it. That was the first game I played. I spent RM4 for the first round and I get nothing! I was so not satisfied and I decided to play another time. Another RM4 gone! Not satisfied...I was so "geram" to see my friend got a toy! (even the soft toy he got was a bit distorted). Then, I decided to try on another type of game. It also depends on luck but the possibility of winning a prize is bigger than the "ducky game". I bought RM14 of tokens (RM2 for 1 token) and pray hard before throwing the tokens one by one on to the big surface of board with yellow, green, and blue circles all over. And finally, the 2nd last token that I threw laid inside the yellow circle...Jeng Jeng Jeng...I got a small prize...Ok...better than nothing. I was delighted but just for a while. Thinking that my $$$ just flew away. The blue dolphin I got is so valuable now. It's money!! No regrets...Just once a while...hehe!

3. Coca-Cola Dark Purple glass from McD
I went for McD lunch after class with my classmates. I decided to get the Contour Glass Meal. The color of the glass for that day was purple. I paid RM10.65 including tax for the glass, a set of large value meal of Fillet-O-Fish and a cup of Strawberry Sundae. I think it's worth it. =) Now, I'm still thinking of whether to get another color of the glass or not. Grey color seems nice to me...

React of Trail of the Green Blazer

This sketch was done for my Introduction to Short Story subject in my first year of Advanced Diploma, 2nd Semester. In a group of 3, we re-produced the short story and acted it out with some probes.

The short story, entitled Trail of the Green Blazer is about Raju, a professional pick-pocket who always wonder around in the market and wait for his victim. One day, the Green Blazer goes to the market. Raju stealed the Green Blazer's wallet after the Green Blazer buys a balloon for his motherless child. But, Raju feels pity for the motherless child. Then, Raju decided to return the wallet back to the Green Blazer but was caught as the Green Blazer is trying to steal his wallet. Then, Raju is sent to jail although he was just trying to put back the wallet.

Why do the chicken cross the road?

Did not update my blog for few weeks due to my laziness... Last week, I suddenly have this in my mind. Why do the chicken cross the road? Actually, I got that from my caller ringtone. Those who calls me frequently will know about that. I decided to do a mini survey by asking the question to some of my friends in MSN. And below are the answers I got from them...

CREATIVE Answers:
1. Zephyr: because the were a hot cock on the other side
2. Ah Foo: becoz they wan to die earlier
3. Jacky Chua: to find better chicks
4. Kenny Ki: bcos opposite the road got opposite sex chickens? =P
5. Wen Jin: bcz they gt legs to cross the road ==''
6. John Huang: cuz the chick cross, the chicken worried
7. Rachel Looi: the chic saw a rooster =D
8. Kean Kee: bcz chicken 's wife is in front
9. Bruce Lee: why do the human cross the road?
10.Auyong: how i know? u ask the chicken ma

STRAIGHT FORWARD Answers:
1. Alec Kor: becoz they wan cross the road lo
2. Criss Chan: to get to the other side....
3. Barney: To get to the other side
4. Johntim: becuse chicken need to go another side of the road
5. Joanne: to get to the other side?

LAZY-TO-THINK Answers:
1. BH: donno ler...y?
2. WeiLee: hmm...dono
3. Marco: no idea
4. Ee Hau: my answer is duno

MY CALLER RINGTONE Answer:
1. Alweis Lai: Don't know? To get to another side? Ah~hahahaha...

Yeah...thats what I got..majority gave me funny funny answers...Personally, I like Zephyr's answer the most. From my survey, I can see that those who provided creative answers are more to the people who can joke and funny... Those who gave the answer "Dono or no idea" dun really chat alot with me...hm...maybe thats the reason they answered "Dono"? No offence...anyway..its just a survey of mine that I did to kill my time and its just for fun. =)

The Mixture of Feelings

My industrial training is going to end in 3 weeks time. Which means, I need to shift back to Setapak and back to college! I was actually busy searching for rooms for the last 2 weeks. Worrying that I cant find a suitable room in time. At first, I plan to get a room in Metroview, Wangsa Maju. I viewed a room there and decided not to take the room for some reasons. Everyday, I browse through www.caribilik.my and www.desasetapak.com to see any new notices on metroview rooms to rent. There are NONE but many posted "Small room @ Metroview Wanted"! There are high demand of Metroview rooms but low supply. If I continue to wait for it, I will be more worry. Next target was Desa Setapak housing area. I went and search for few Lorongs. Either it is rented out, no outsiders allowed, or no washing machine/internet. In fact, there are only few notices displayed only. Again, I do not want to hope for Desa Setapak.

So, I plan to try my luck in Genting Klang. Previously, I never want to stay in Genting Klang. It was very congested and the roads are narrow. No Metroview No Desa Setapak. Of course the next place is Genting Klang! Taman Bunga Raya will be the last choice. I went to view a room in Prima Setapak yesterday evening right after work. I did not have high hope and never even thought I will rent a room there. I thought I'll just go and view the room and slowly decide. That unit is a penthouse actually! So it is big!! Once I stepped in, I was like...."Wah..." The room comes with a bedframe, mattress, wood cupboard, table, chair, fan, and a balcony! That leaves a very good impression to me! I immediately fell in love with the room. Besides that, the unit has 3 toilets, each with a washing machine and a water heater. The kitchen is equipped with complete cooking facilities and a huge fridge. There is a TV with astro and a luxury sofa in the living room. How can this house be so complete??? And yes...wireless internet connection. Wonderful!! However, the rental is not as cheap as my current rental. Besides that, the rental does not include utilities bill. Oh by the way, a maid will come n clean the house. So, no duty rosters!! I made up my mind fast without thinking thrice. Oh Gosh...

There are many shops nearby the condo. So, food is always available. Transport? I need to walk about 7 to 10 minutes to reach the bus stop. I guess I am already used to walking...Everyday, used 10 to 15minutes to walk from One Utama Car park to office. But, I am guilty now. I realize it is costly! And, I still need to rent a carpark if I need a car here. I made my mum worry. She worried that I got no place to park the car. Yea...Rent and it needs money. I seriously need to save money starting from now and no shopping unless I really need to buy something.

If things can't go well after 2 months, I shall shift to somewhere else. Rite now, I am feeling guilty. At the same time, I am excited to shift to the new and nice room with complete facilities.

Too Late to REGRET...

Khidmat Negara 2006

Khidmat Negara Siri 3 Kumpulan 1 Tahun 2006. Yup, the Malaysia's National Service. On Sunday, I ate a packet of snack or "keropok" which is made in Kelantan. My brother bought it in Terengganu, which cost RM1.30 per packet. I only bought it RM1 back in Kelantan! :P
And that triggered me to think back of my 3 months experience in the National Service. It happened 3 years ago. But the memories remain fresh in my mind! Its just like a week ago! I can say that I was lucky to be the chosen one and was based at Kem Latihan Batu Jong, Kuala Krai, Kelantan. I still remember, I left Taiping to Kelantan on my birthday, 31st December 2005. I am not that lonely because I got my schoolmate with me. The journey took about 6 hours. It was a total whole new experience and new environment for me back then. Again, I was lucky. I got the same dorm as my schoolmate. During the 3 months, I get to know new people from different places, different background, and different personality. Indescribable feelings!!

Let me tell you guys what I did, as well as other trainees did in the camp everyday.
Weekdays (Monday - Friday)
6.00am - Wake up, get ready and queue up. March with half closed eyes and sleepy face to the "perhimpunan" place. Everyday without fail, we need to sing Negaraku, National Service song, baca ikrar, and the prayers for the Muslim.
- Morning exercise!! Stretch ourself and did whatever the trainer told us to. What I enjoyed the most was jogged out from the camp. Cooling and refreshing air!
8.00am - Breakfast time!! Everyday, there will surely boiled eggs, bread. Also have fried bihun, mee, or nasi lemak served. I love the nasi lemak the most! It's yummy!
9.00am - Prepare to go to class. Its not like the classes we have in school ok. First two months we got Character Building Class. Then, Kenegaraan, which was totally boring!! Reminds me of Sejarah! But still, I enjoyed it and I learned some patriotic songs from the classes! There's one more subject! Ah..can't remember what class is that.
10.30am - Morning - Tea time! We got kuih muih and tea! In the beginning, I enjoyed having them. After few weeks, I spend my tea time resting and chit chatting instead of eating!
11.00am - Class continue.
12.00pm - Lunch and rest! I love lunch time! Honestly, the food was okay for me! I did not know why some people don't actually eat during the lunch time. They complained of the suckiness of the food! I ate anyway...as I'm not choosy type of person.
2.00pm - Yes! The adventure begins!! This is the time for outdoor activity. The activities actually depends on the schedule. We had aerobic, practice marching under the hot sun, learning taekwondo (what the??), jungle trekking, kayaking, and those monkey bars, tarzan string, climbing over the wall, etc.
4.30pm - Tea time! (Again) This is the time where I get really hungry after the outdoor activity! Not only me, the rest of them as well. For tea time, there will be some Kelantan kuih which I can't found anywhere in Taiping or other places. It's nice! Wish to had it again..
5.00pm - Own activity. We're encouraged to play sports like netball or volleyball. But, most of us are tired and just "lepak" in the dorm.
7.00pm - Dinner.
8.30pm - I remember we still need to go for classes. Sometimes, we just sit at the hall watching some videos if I'm not mistaken.
9.45pm - Supper. Yea...Eat again. They served sweet soups/deserts like red beans, green beans. Hm...nono...I hardly take supper. And it's quite sweet!
10.00pm - Roll call and reports. Any issues will be said. Warnings, scoldings, etc etc.
11.00pm - Back to the dorm and get ready to sleep!

Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
In the first few months, there was not much activity and most of the time, we just had our own time doing our own activity. Few months later, we split up into groups and each groups will visit different places outside. I remembered I had visited the Fire Station, Old Folks Home, beaches in Kelantan, and the town! I love all the places especially the beaches.

Oh gosh! There're so many that I wanna post! I think I have to stop here and to be continued in the next post about my jungle trekking and camping in the jungle experience! It was really GREAT! Stay tuned readers~

Missing Squash and the Gym

Its been like 5 months plus already that I didn't hit the gym and step into a squash court. Back in college, I will go to the gym after class if I have the time. Running on the air walker for 40 minutes will destress and clear my mind. I will choose to go for squash if I am "emo" on that day, or there's anger in me, or when my hand just feel like whacking the ball.

The gym in my condominium is totally sucks and I don't know why there's still people going there! And I didn't actually search for squash courts around my place and even if I found it, the booking fee will be very expensive.

I seriously miss playing squash and the gym (not because the gym got lengcaiss)! But I need to wait for another 6 weeks and that's the time I'm going back to college! Yayy~ But before that, I need to get a squash racket as I don't have one now. College's squash racket is kinda heavy for me. Any recommendation?

Swimming is another activity I have in college. I attended Alweis's swimming lesson back in college. Thanks to Alweis, I am able to float in the water and swim using the floating board back then in March if I'm not mistaken. But now, there's a big improvement. I can swim without the floating board already! Yahoo!! Been practicing since the day I started my industrial training here in PJ. And now, I believe, Practice makes Perfect! =)

PS: Coming up next, a post dedicated to my work buddy. =)
